Insurance with Understanding
ACS understands insurance and churches. We are at the leading edge of specialised church insurance. Our understanding enables us to give expert advice, service, training and support — equipping those in leadership to be better stewards of not only property, but also the people in your care.
We provide a suite of insurance packages, with five core components:
- Public Liability Insurance covers the church against claims by third parties where the church has been negligent.*
- Professional Indemnity Insurance covers pastors and leaders against any alleged act, error, omission or misconduct in civil matters.
- Directors and Officers Insurance covers directors or other officers of the church where they have committed a wrongful act.
- Personal Accident Insurance for Voluntary Workers covers unpaid workers within the church for accidents causing loss of wages or other incurred expenses.
- Industrial Special Risks Insurance covers physical property owned by the church.

Churches must carry enough insurance cover for multiple claims that may occur where groups of people (including children) are gathered in confined areas such as churches. Churches should therefore carry a minimum of $50 million cover.
